Burning Your Soy Candle Safely
Candle Safety + Care
Our current Soy Candle Range has an approximate burn time of 25 hours.
Each candle is carefully created and made by hand in Exeter, Devon.
1. Find a safe surface for your candle...
Candle Safety + Care
Firstly, find a heat resistant, flat and stable surface in a well-ventilated room and away from any drafts or fans which can cause rapid uneven burning and even sooting (black marks on the container).
Please do not put your candle on plastic surfaces or near anything that is flammable.
Be very cautious and keep your candle away from items such as curtains, furniture, bedding, carpets, paper, decorations, clothing and hair. Be very cautious with children and pets.
2. Don't burn your candle for more than 4 hours....
Candle Safety + Care
To make the most of your candle try and burn it for a minimum of two-to-three hours to get an even burn.
If you burn for less than this you may create a candle tunnel which can reduce the burn time of the candle.
If you burn for longer than 4 hours your wick can mover or even slant.
3. Keep Candles a safe distance a part...
Candle Safety + Care
If you are burning multiple candles?
Please ensure that you keep candles more than 5 inches part. This will help prevent candles melting each other and causing uneven burning.
4. Be Careful!.....
Candle Safety + Care
The candle jar will be HOT after burning, so allow the wax to cool completely before you handle it.
5. Don't Burn to the end of the candle....
Candle Safety
Near the end of your candle?
Please don’t burn your candle all the way to the bottom and ensure that it is extinguished when there is only 1 cm of wax left in the candle container.
By extinguishing it at this stage ensures that the wick remains in a vertical position and that the burn stay under control.
We love creating candles and we hope that you will fall in love with them too. Always follow candle safety.
